An oak wardrobe in the attic
An attic bedroom turned into a walk-in wardrobe: oak hanging rails, drawers and benches, with lighting that comes on as you open it.

Under a 35-degree roof slope, space disappears quickly. The owners wanted a proper walk-in wardrobe without giving up the small window that lights the room.
The design
Two facing rows of units that follow the slope to the centimetre: tall hanging space in the middle, drawers and low shelves under the slope, and two benches to sit on. Light strips are built in under every shelf.
Making and fitting
Everything was made in oiled oak, with oak-veneered plywood backs to keep it light. Fitting took two days, lighting included.
