A walnut and oak kitchen
Five metres of walnut fronts on oak carcasses, a 2.40 m island and dovetailed drawers, fitted in four days.

A family of five wanted a kitchen that would age well, far from the glossy units that get replaced every ten years. They cook a lot and often have people over.
The design
A long run against the wall, with tall units up to the ceiling, and a 2.40 m island that serves as both worktop and breakfast table. The fronts are solid walnut, the carcasses oak, and the handles are carved into the wood.
Making and fitting
Six weeks at the workshop, one of them for the drawers, dovetailed the old-fashioned way. Fitting took four days, appliances included, without a speck of dust left in the house.
